Utah's Music Radio station started in 2009 when John Farmer woke up from a dream of starting a radio station after losing his previous company due to the great recession.
John has always loved music, both playing it and supporting it.
John started an online radio station and reached out to all his friends throughout the years to send in their music to his station to help promote their music.
UMR's mission is to bring local music to the community at large and get the average person to tune in and listen to music that is right in their own back yard.
To this day our goal is to support every independent musician that plays original music. We don't play cover tunes, that's already been done by the original artist. Therefore the goal is to play only local, independent and ORIGINAL music for the listeners to enjoy.
